Can I use Kantoku for non-academic writing?
Yes. Kantoku works for blog posts, articles, LinkedIn posts, or any writing where you want AI coaching without AI ghostwriting. The Pro plan includes coaching profiles for different writing contexts.
Does Kantoku generate any text?
No. Kantoku only asks questions. Your document contains only what you wrote. This is by design, not a limitation.
What happens to my documents?
Your documents are yours. They are stored in standard Markdown or LaTeX formats. You can export them at any time. We never use your content to train AI models.
Can I prove my work is original?
Yes. Kantoku's git-based version control creates a complete audit trail of how your document evolved. Combined with the coaching-only approach, you have strong evidence that the work is genuinely yours.
What AI model does Kantoku use?
Kantoku uses Claude by Anthropic, configured specifically for interrogative coaching. The AI is instructed to ask questions only. It cannot generate text even if asked. Institute and Enterprise plans can integrate custom LLMs approved by your organisation.
